so, in my brain (&in my heart) darlene goes off to art school, becomes queer, gets big in the underground comic scene. she &david made each other some stellar mix-tapes, but they eventually grow apart &break up. none of this unrealistic marrying-yr-high-school-sweetheart bullshit. no babies.
but david also realizes he’s queer. he gets one ear pierced. starts a shoe-gazey alt-rock band.
back in lanford, dj gets grounded for staying out all night at a rave with heather matarazzo. lecy goranson is always becky. no one wins the lottery, bev is still straight, but jackie’s gay. dan doesn’t die from a heart attack or have an affair. loose meat is still disgusting.
this is partially for riotriotboi, but really mostly for me.
